Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, just before her last term of junior high. There are two of her siblings: an older brother named Gregory as well as a younger sibling known as Evan. Her first experience in the entertainment industry came as she was modeling between the ages of nine and sixteen. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she was studying the acting of Sanford Meisner techniques for three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who were trained in this way, as well as Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. Her first acting role came in Beverly Hills 90210. This led to her relocating into Los Angeles. Then, she got the lead in the movie Johnny Mnemonic, in which she did almost all of her own stunts and established herself as an athlete. Her talent agent also represented Matt LeBlanc so, through her agent, she was able to get a regular role on Friends.
